 Fox Fire Burn 1998

Satellite image shows north-end of Lake Laberge in the center, with Yukon River winding off towards upper left corner. The long, narrow, dark lake below Lake Laberge is Fox Lake, with the Klondike Highway on it's east side. Little Fox Lake is visible on the highway in the middle of the burn area. The burn area is the pink area, which looks like rock. Three more lakes in the lower left corner are Braeburn Lake on the highway, Frank Lake with its emerald color, and Coghlan Lake. The fire started at the north-end of Fox Lake and was mainly blown in easterly direction.
